Ladies Fellowship
Report for Annual Church Meeting 2004

From: Bridge Street: Reports for Annual Church Meeting

The Ladies Fellowship is growing and there is now a membership of between 19 and 22. The meetings are of a spiritual nature and always have a good message, they are enjoyed by all. Our Rally had a good attendance with ladies from all Churches in the district and circuit. The solos were lovely and the message from Rev Jill Bentall was very profound. We had a Christmas party and Christmas lunch at the Garden Centre which was well attended. Our project for the year is CLIC (Cancer and Leukamia in Children).

This year we lost one of our most loyal members, Joan King, who will be sadly missed. I would like to thank her husband, Ron, for his most loyal support over the years and roviding transport for our ladies. Also Cicelie and Bill Bowley for their support and help with transport. Thank you also to Grace Beardsall for her loyalty over many years and we wish her well in her new home in Cumbria.

I would like to thank the committee for all their hard work, especially our leader Mrs Kitty Hay, and the tea ladies for providing welcome cups of tea. It is with deep sadness that we have just heard of the death of Mrs Edna lesson, she was one of our dearest and most loyal long serving members being a Vice President, Committee member and head of the tea committee. She will be greatly missed by us all.

We meet in the Church at 2.30pm alternate Tuesdays and everyone is welcome to join us.

Ann Herbert.
