From: Bridge Street: Reports for Annual Church Meeting
We were fortunate during this year to receive donations from two families who had asked for gifts for NCH instead of themselves when celebrating. This raised £285. The Christmas quiz and collection came to £355.32 and the street collection in April to £500. A sponsored walk in May raised £304, a table-top sale £38 and a communion collection £46. The Ladies Fellowship donated £21 and there was £10 donated in the NCH box at the coffee bar counter. This amounted to £1595.79.
We are very grateful to all who helped raise this total, particularly those of you who stood in the street with a collecting box in April. We are permitted to collect on the one Saturday a year and the more boxes we can get around the town for as long as possible the better! If you can spare just one hour it helps enormously! The date this year is April 3rd.
Christine Thomas again led our worship in December when your very generous gifts were collected for the Family Centre in Newbury. Our thanks to Tandy Davis who organised this with Christine as we were unable to be present. Tandy has received a letter from Helen (from the Family Centre) thanking you all for your generosity. Thank you for your support for NCH.
