"I have been a Local Preacher since 1966. I was born in 1942 (yes, I know I wear well !) in Cowes, Isle of Wight and came to live in the Andover area in 1983. My working life was spent in Primary education and I was Head Teacher of Whitchurch CE Primary School for 14 years prior to my retirement. Pam and I have one son, Andrew who lives with his wife Jayne in Salisbury. They have a daughter Katie born in 1997.

Outside the church my main activities and interests are centred on sport, theatre, music and walking. Pam and I are both members of Hampshire County Cricket Club whilst my son Andrew and I are season ticket holders at Portsmouth Football Club - so you can see that 'suffering' has been part and parcel of my life for many years. More recently I have just completed a further degree course with The Open University and thoroughy enjoyed the experience. I work as a volunteer 'Appropriate Adult' for NCH attending police stations to support young people who have been arrested."
